Access

This document outlines possible necessary steps to access the physical machines of the cluster via ssh.

User

In general ssh password authentication is deactivated. Password authentication is only allowed via ipmi or direct physical access.

To provision the servers with the desired ssh access please refer to the common section of the inventory documentation.

OpenStack

OpenStack makes use of ssh to implement vm migrations. Therefore it is necessary that each computenode can access every other computenode via ssh. This is done as part of the inventory. Please refer to the respective configuration documention.
